Where to, the wind?

Wind turbines, like those in Wyoming, above, are prominent along large stretches of Interstate I-80

According to the USGS (US Geological Survey) there are about 71,000 wind turbines spread across the United States. There are roughly 341,000 distributed across the world, according to the Global Wind Energy Council. Is wind the answer to energy? Is it a good investment? Those questions will be answered in more detail in other reports by Veritas Chronicles’ Ben Watson. Meantime, wind turbines supply less than 8% of world energy. While that sector is growing in relation to itself, coal, oil, and gas are still not only dominant, but growing more dominant. Why? Good questions. Answers are in the VC research hopper.
